If you really want to money save.... and watch it for free... open a 2 week FREE trial at Amazon for DVD rentals, rent it and another couple of DVD's (only put 3 in your list) and then cancel before the 2 weeks. Sorted. (Sorry if this feels like its in the wrong thread, but to be honest, who really watches the same film twice?... at least, 'buy' it when it's gone down in price in a few months..!)0

Well if you only wanted to see it once, why buy it on dvd at all when you can watch it at the cinema or on tv?
Your scheme is clever but I dont think it will work. They usually require you to choose at least 10 dvds before they will send you anything and trialists get lowest priority for new releases.0 -
I don't think the Amazon rental idea will work. I was a rental customer of theirs for a few months and the new releases were never available, that was one of the reasons why I'm no longer renting from them. I had to wait over 2 months to see the Da Vinci Code even though it was at the top of my rental list.
I pre-ordered my copy of Casino Royale from HMV online, it is £14.99 (free delivery). I received it before the release date and it is an HMV exclusive edition with a slipcase sleeve and a free mini-book with photos taken on set. I got Nectar points through the Nectar e-stores scheme too.0 -

watch the same film twice.. hmmmm, ask my b/f about gladiator surprised it isn't worn out, I even know half the script lol
Although I only ever remember one of his horses names Argento (which incidently is a nice bottle of wine), the other is Scargento or something begining with S, could be anything realy just rhymed with Argento - kind of lol.....
Anyway back on track my Asda has a ton, if anyone wants one PM me and if they are still available tomorrow I will pick them up and post... guess £1 will cover the postage...
Cheers

I work for ASDA
When we opened monday morning at 8 am - we had 400 copies of Casino Royale and by the time 430pm had come we had sold out !!
The offer is monday 19th to Sunday 25th March at £7 OR £6.30 if your a ASDA colleague like me ...0 -
I was allowed to buy two copies - one for me and one for my other half - but was told that I had to pay for them separately.
I must say though, that the extra DVD of bonus features isn't really all that fantastic. Just a bunch of interviews, a programme about Bond Girls (more interviews) and a music video.
Still, at £7 a pop you can't really complain. I paid more than that for the movie ticket when I watched it the first time.0 -
I saw The Queen DVD with Helen Mirren in my local Sainsbury's for only £9.
This is even cheaper than what you'd pay online
Has anyone else seen this?0 -
Milton Keynes ASDA still had several of the 2-disc film on display last night...Wins so far this year: It's been a quiet year so far

Got my 2 disc special edition from Sainsbury's for £8.99 as there isn't an Asda that close to me and couldn't be bothered to travel miles only to find out they had sold out.0

Our local Asda has all James Bond DVDs at £7 each - not just Casino Royale.
Don't know how long the special offer is on - but they made an announcement about it as I was shopping. Perhaps they had over-stocked
