Ask the tennent if they want to settle out from the agent and signing a contract from you and say you would give them a discount, id say yes. Im going to ask my landlord if he wants to do this as he is paying 12% per month plus £50 renewal every 6 months and we get on very well.Kind Regards

the contract between the landlord and the letting agent will require payment if a tenant "introduced by the letting agent" renews the tenancy. The only way round this is to go periodic.
Not sure why the letting agent needs to be involved in renewing the tenancy, why can't the landlord speak to the tenant direct?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I recently left my flat after my 1 year lease because the letting agency wanted £140 from me for nothing more than to print off another contract! I looked in my present contract and it did mention this, so I couldnt complain, so I left. In my new home I deal with a lovely private landlord and so now my renting is hassle free..Don't pay off your student loan quicker than you have to.0
