I have been to 4 different parks in the last 2 years and have found them to be fine. the accommodation was in good order and the parks clean and tidy.
Onsite facilities aren't as prevalent as there are in the likes of Butlins but they don't charge Butlins prices either.
Food onsite is reasonably priced (compared to the area i live in)
Entertainment is ok, and the bars are not too busy.
I have not been to the west coast yet, going to Quay West in Summer holidays, so cannot comment on the area.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

I used to go to Devon Cliffs a lot as a child. At the time, it was always a 'Sun Holidays' type deal, friends were going abroad, family relationships were bad and I didn't truly appreciate how much was on offer.
Looking back as an adult, I recall the park being excellent. I've been thinking I'd like to go back when I have my own children. There was a lot to do, it was affordable, and I looked at their website recently and it's further upgraded. Now, they have proper restaurant option for instance - when I went, it was like a cafeteria.0 -
My parents used to own a caravan at Hafan-y-Mor so we went there quite a few times. It's a former Butlins site and it's huge with plenty of facilities. You could spend three or four days just exploring the site. The indoor swimming pool is particuarly good. The night time entertainment was usually pretty good although the kids entertainment was a bit disappointing as they relied to much on "disco's" (i.e. just playing some music) rather than having someone on the stage entertaining.
Overall though I'd definitely recommend it.The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

We have been to loads and have had a really good time at all of them. We like Hafan-y-mor but I wouldnt recommend the half-board option as the food wasnt great and the queues were horrendous!
There are quite a few 'extra's' though so just make sure you have a bit of extra money for the children to spend in the park.SPC #1813

I don't think Hafan-y-Mor do half board anymore. Last we heard the Afon Gardens "restaurant" was due to be demolished over the winter. We never ate there once as it always seemed the menu was made up of things like pasta bolognese which you make yourself cheaply and you could probably knock up a pasta dish in less time than you'd spend in the queue.
I should add though it's only cheaper if you're able to get into Pwllheli and buy your ingrediants from Asda, Aldi or Iceland rather than in one of the Spars on the site. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

Looking at their website I think you are right. Looks like they only offer HB at Craig Tara.
Its no great loss. The food was awful and you spent 30 minutes queuing for it anyway.SPC #1813

We've just got back from Littlesea (horrendous weather!) and we were happy with the site, it was very clean and quite pretty outside. Activities were very good value (£54 for 12 activity passes when we booked our holiday, most activities take 1 pass like archery, fencing etc) and the staff went out of their way to make sure the children enjoyed themselves - we even had a tennis lesson in the rain! It's in a slightly inconvenient place and doesn't have the beach access of somewhere like Ruda (parkdean) but we had a decent time considering the weather.0

we like Golden Sands in Mablethorpe - we go back at least once a year, facilities are good, it's a short walk into Mablethorpe town and Fantasy Island is a 20 min car journey for a fab day out - given the choice my kids would go there every holiday.
On downside we went to Presthaven Sands last year and in comparison site had very little facitlities although the best beach I have seen in Britain!miss-piggin :j Mum of 2 wonderful girls and a gorgeous little man.DFW Halifax£2330 Tesco£2576 Virgin£3238 Little£5468 Asda£242 Barc£240 Catalogue£1600 Halifax1£2k Halifax2£250 [STRIKE]Capital£100 Picture£53k GE Mo £30k.
