    Evening all

Newbies looks like you are doing well, good luck for tomorrow.

Governors meeting complete. Took the tablet rather than printing out the reams of stuff they send us, much preferred it and only 1 sheet of paper to file now.

Must, must, must food shop tomorrow and will tackle the kitchen.

re the rusty bin - rub gently with stainless steel wool fine grade (or a brillo pad) to see if it shifts it (inconspicuous area first;) then a thin film of vaseline to seal it and stop it oxidising again (oxidation=rust) Unless Shortbird (for she too seems to know about these things) knows better.

Valli, that sounds like a great idea: vegetable oil would be OK as well.

    Evening all

Had to make a start on the LR rather than the kitchen. At some point between 9pm last night and 8am this morning a load of feathers appeared in the corner by the sofa. We don't have a cat flap and windows were closed. I remember letting the cat in this morning, but I really don't think she was carrying anything. I'm puzzled (and still missing the 'confused' smilie).

So I've decluttered the LR floor and taken laundry upstairs, then hoovered, including moving sofas. Tidied kitchen up a bit only to make a total mess of it again, cooking Memorygirl's curry base (took ages, but worth it) and using part of it to make DS1's tea.

Before bedtime I've got to portion up the curry base and freeze it. Also empty and re-load DW. Tired now.

I'll hopefully post a proper list tomorrow.
    Night all. x

    Evening all,

The neck is healed so I managed everything on the list, with a bit of help from OH (he kept bringing me drinks.. very dehydrated at the minute:()

OH is back at work tomorrow, which is good and bad. It means I'll get more done but have no-one to talk too.

Just looked at the calender and realised I'm working tomorrow as well! ( I'm so organised ;) ) It's just covering the Olympic Torch relay but I've been missing work so much since the end of the football season, being self employed I have no-one to blame but myself. Hopefully the rain will stop or me and my camera will get wet!

Hope you're all well, and good vibes for those who need them.

    Stay safe, x

Not sure how old your hubby is but if he has a younger single brother who also irons, send him my way!:p

he has an older brother that is a FAN of the Irons! I think I got the better-trained brother :D

back from Ikea - DD1 was disappointed that i didn't get her the desk she wanted today. It is a desk with bookcase attached, and I didn't think we could lift it & didn't think it would fit in the car with four of us. DS said he could do it, but he struggled with the bedside cabinet that was half the weight (he is 13).

I managed to clean out the breadbin, clear & clean the worksurfaces, clear the kitchen windowsill & wash the window - all while watching the children bug hunting in the garden :)
I have also nearly cleared the post from the hallway - just need to do a bit of filing :) Not too bad today

    Goodnight peeps

Well not much more done then went out, pleased with the progress made my first day back. Managed a brief meal plan too. I'm at a meeting tomorrow so I'll do my best. I've ordered another garage freezer for dog food so I'll use that to clear my freezer, defrost then refill. I did the one in the kitchen today. Just going to do my washer/TD switch as I've filled the airers

    Good night all x
One day I might be more organised...........
