Why not just put in a claim, you have nothing to lose and might even gain ,specially after the baby is born

No it's 100pw for every week - no matter what if on full pay is my understanding - i think the logic is the comp applies for smp. So off 38 weeks deduct 38 x 100.0

If i remember you are entitled to 90% of your income for the first 6 weeks and then 33 weeks of SMP unless you have something in your contract, your calculations are correct.
Good Luck.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0 -
oh rite haha i sound soo dull, i'm not usually this stupid....promise lol. would be so nice if i did gain rather than loose so i can enjoy my time off with my 2 boys rather than worrying about money, took my son swimming on saturday £10 for the 2 of us wow couldnt believe how expensive things are as i havent really had the chance to do it while i been working.0

Exactly this ^^^
It does actually make it easier to work out as it is the number of weeks you receive SMP (even if you receive over and above the standard SMP rate of £135.45 such as in the first 6 weeks) and multiply it by £100 and you get the total deduction allowable from your annual income.
As you will probably have all your maternity leave within one tax year it makes it even simpler still to work out
