This may be a how long is a piece of string question however i will chance it and ask anyway
We are going on a cruise next August from miami we will need to book flights to miami nearer the time as they are not out yet,do you think we will be able to get flights, direct preferably, for 3 adults,1 child and 1 infant for around £3000?
I could do with knowing for budgeting i have checked out the prices for this year and they are nearer £4000 but i'm thinking that as these flights have been out for a while the price may have gone up quite a bit?
thanks in advance

We fly to Miami a few times to catch cruises (next one in December). You have loads of options as AA,BA, and Virgin just off the top of my head fly direct. Flight costs I would think be in the region of £500-£600 per person, children do not get a discount but the infant will travel free. Flights can be booked 330 days before departure and there are always some sales about.
Ahhh, just seen you are traveling in August, but you should still be able to pick something up for under £700 pp.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Firstly make sure you book your flights at least one day before the ship sails, the Caribbean in August can be difficult at times, so bring dramamine and a recognition that it is peak hurricane season.
To give you an idea of prices, for MIA leaving Friday 10th and returning two weeks later the current fares are around £925, so you mustn't leave it late to book. This years fares may not be a good basis on which to guess fares for next year, the Olympics have messed up fares in August as people who would have flown in July are leaving it until the Olympics are over. There are very rarely sales for August flights, the fact that BA have one is a sign that things may not be as great as they were expecting. Booking early I think you may have to pay £800 each unless you are very lucky you can save a little by avoiding flying Friday to Sunday but that tends to be the days most cruises leave Miami so you may have no option0
