I'm going to Eastbourne to see my brother. I have done this journey many times before but my daughter has downloaded tickets this time for me.
It has always been one ticket for each journey there and back although I have booked a seat on the inter city from Darlington to Kings Cross.
This time there are loads of different tickets including the time on the ticket I have to get from Victoria to Eastbourne.
As I am disabled I usually travel across London in a cab but will not have time to catch this train so I will use the tube.
Can anyone tell me if my mainline tickets will be valid for the tube or not?
If not is it possible to buy a tube ticket online to save waiting as time is not really on my side.
Thanks in advance.

You cannot buy a tube ticket online - on its own anyway. Depending on what tickets you have already it MAY be there anyway. What you have said really gives no clue
You should have a separate seat reservation ticket for each leg of the journey. Under TICKET TYPE it will say SEAT and at the bottom left it will have the seat number - or blank for the Victoria to Eastbourne leg as you don't get a specific seat.
Your actual ticket will have ADVANCE (or maybe OFF PEAK or similar) as ticket type. If there is just one of them for the through journey then it should be valid on the tube. It should have a maltese cross symbol on it
If there are separate tickets Darlington to Kings Cross and Victoria to Eastbourne then the tube won't be included.
You will need both the ticket and the reservation to travel0 -
I have a ticket for Darlington to Eastbourne and also seperate tickets ie..Darlington to Kings Cross plus Victoria to Eastbourne.
All totally confusing to me.
Its an advance ticket. There is a tiny cross on one of them but not a Maltese cross.0
