Having been back into Nat West and clarified that we have a community account, as you rightly say, ther should be no charges levied. Cashier I spoke to apologised for colleague's error.

I didn't actually change any money when I thought I was going to be charged, but they did apologise which is all I wanted, and said they'd speak to their cashier to let her know what the fees are for future reference.Bern :j0 -

Good for them. Nat West are a business not a charity just like any other high street bank, restaurant, clothing shop, newsagents, hairdressers, florists, pie shop, bookies, pubs, travel agents.....
Anyway just a thought but if you are in the town and there is an amusement arcade/shop e.g. Nobles then why just not go in there, put your money in their change machine and hey presto.....0
