greasy hair

I had a recent problem with my hair looking greasy, even right after washing it. Posted on here and silicone build up was suggested, and clarifying shampoo recommended. Being MSE, I just added some bicarbonate of soda to my regular, SLS-free shampoo and it did the job. Now I just wash with the bicarb added every 4-5 washes, but normally inbetween, and have no problems.
Have you checked her head for nits? First sign of me or my brothers having them was me waking up with knots at the back of my head (where I must have been scratching without realising) and greasy hair from all the extra touching.
Also make sure to change her pillowcase frequently - has she got new bedding that she hasn't wanted changed so often lately?0
