(Im asking for somebody on their behalf)
They are female, and born in 1957, and is 55,
they have been been doing admin work for 24 years.
They wish to retire when they are 62-64. = which will be in 2018
How much state pension would they be entitled to
a week?
a month?

Note that, for someone born in 1957, state pension will not be paid until the age of 66.0

If she was born in 1957 that would make her 54 or 55.0

Put the person's age and gender into this calculator. Any date earlier than the pension age it gives means she will receive nothing from the state system until such time as she reaches the relevant age.

Edit: I've just tested it using 1st Jan 1957 as the date of birth, and it gives a pension age of 66.
If she has an occupational pension she should be able to draw this at any time from age 55, although the earlier she takes it the smaller the amount she receives will be.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Thanks, thats understandable.
We just want to know the amount, and webpages/urls are not opening.
Can you go on the calculator and enter the rough numbers to work it out.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
No-one can possibly know how much (or little!) state pension will be in nine years time. As I understand it, it is currently around £110 a week for people who have paid 30 years full NI contributions. It generally goes up a little each year, but there are no guarantees.
