no spend week, a challenge to myself

i know this can be a regular occurance for many of you, but i have never done this before.
i have just checked my bank account and have less than £5 to last me untill a week on wedensday   now i could go further into my o/d (a different bank ac) but i am determined not to.
so my challenge to myself is to not spend anything until at least sunday (will prob use my last fiver to do somthing with the kids then)
i have enough food so must avoid supermarkets and i really dont NEED anything,.
i have started this thread to try to keep myself motivated, hope thats ok.

  • Hi Vixtress,

I have been doing this since Thursday! I have to keep going until I get paid on Friday. It is do-able. I haven't spent anything all weekend.

    Good luck

my other challenge to myself is to try to fund a couple of weeks (or even a month) spending from selling on ebay, i was sorting the loft last night and reckon i probably have over a hunred pounds worth of stuff to sell, if i could do that it could make a good dent in my overdraft!

have also made weetabix brownies for the first time :D:D so no more buying sweet treats for the children (well more for me actually :o )
