Hope your eye is OK now fire**fly - take it it is as you have posted some lovely pics! Well done on your lovely win.
Good luck with the holiday comps. I have started entering them now the kids are getting older and can be left together if the worst came to the worst. Don't enter for long holidays yet though.
In case anyone thinks I must be rich with all my breaks I assure you everything is done on a budget with hotels starting at £19 a night!
I book ages in advance and use special Intercontinental codes and Premier Inn offers. :D

Have a good day Katie! I have put a bottle of wine in the fridge to celebrate my wins this week but thats all I am doing tonight.

Well done on your wins Sophie and Sue!

Is it only me who ever uses the 'entered' button as well as 'thanks'? Some people get really stroppy about 'bumping' but if you press the 'enter' button you get a green dot on the main comps listed page so you can see if you entered without having to open the post... A few people will say 'check your thanks' when they could simply press the enter button too and save a lot of time and hassle

Thanks to all who post, good luck one and all.

No I press the enter button as well! :)

Can't say I mind people bumping but I guess for people who don't have much time it sends the newer competitions down the pecking order so to speak...

Oh dear fire*fly hope you have sorted your eye out.

I have trimmed down 50 wooden roses for our party tomorrow. Hopefully MIL will lay th all out seeing as she has taken over and it is no longer about our wedding more her shlwing off to her work colleagues (who are all invited even though we don't know them)

Really do not want the party now. It was meant to be something for family and friends who couldnt make the wedding

Hi everyoe, sorry not been around much, hopefully visitors only for another two weeks and then maybe be able to get back to normal. Just said cherio the grandaugher who I have looked after for two weeks as well as others. Its been hard work I can tell you and not as easy when you are older like me.

Now then firefly, what have you been doing with that eye of yours, hope you are sorted now, (wouldnt like it to hold up you comping efforts). Hope you win a holiday soon, sounds as if you need a break.

Lovely pics everyone. see you soon, Wingo I trust Jasper is behaving himself and Sue hope Cooper is better now.

I always use the Entered button, but different people comp in different ways. Those who are short of time may just manage an hour or so now and then and if old posts are 'bumped' to the top it makes it harder for them.

I have no problem with bumps if they are for a good reason, but if it's just to say thanks or make an unnecessary comment I find them annoying.

I use them too. I press thanks and enter, takes an extra milisecond (obv exagerating there) I also use a spreadsheet too.

After a good beginning month (Im classing June as beginning month as even though I started in April I have learned a lot more in June with being on this forum), Ive had a rubbish July and Im starting to wonder if any of the month end comps are going to come up for me. Im too scared to stop though just in case haha. Im thinking about postal and text comps, but worried that they are just a step towards gambling. I think comping is not far off, but Ive said to myself as long as Im not spending money then its OK and now here I am wondering if I should look to other ways of entering comps rather than the simple free fill out forms over the internet ones.

Also what do you enter for? There are a load of comps out there that have rubbish prizes (well not ones that I want anyway) and I only enter about 60 new comps a day plus 25 or so daily entry ones as there is nothing else to enter for. I dont want all these DVDs that wont get watched, I dont want tickets to various places I can't get to, I can't enter for trips for 2 as I have no-one to go with (we have 3 children so I can't take my husband)

Does anybody ever enter those instant wins from the mags? I do if I only have a few prize draw ones I want to enter, but I never win (and I dont expect to either)

Anyway rant over, keep up the good work everybody.
Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:

Hi Zombie, just read your note. Personally I dont ever enter anything that I have to pay for. I normally enter some dailies, I enter all the ITV comps on here also all the puzzle and magazine comps you can also find on here, then check down the list to see if there is anything else I fancy. Most importantly I always try to press the thanks button to show my appreciation to the posters, I feel this is the least I can do for all their kind efforts.

At the end of the day, this is a really happy place to be, if you check out the inn everyday, you will always see lovely comments and pictures and encouragement to keep you going. It is nice to win we all would like that, but I find it great to hear what everyone else has won, I go to I win, I win and try to leave a comment or two to people who have took the trouble to post there winnings for us to see.

At the end of the day, comping is a hobby which most of enjoy otherwise we wouldnt be doing it, and most of all, nobody gets paid to post these comps its all done out of kindness, so relax and enjoy.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Zombie postals are like any other comp some people have a lot of luck and some don't. If you have the time to enter the postals i would give them a try.

Don't know where today has gone. Can't believe its 9pm already.

Forgot to say i got a freebie (ok it was in poundland so wouldnt have cost me loads) but i picked up two black wooden frames with space for 3 6x4 photos and a few other things and she only charged me for one frame. Have printed three of the wedding photos out for my nan for her birthday.
