Lets play a game...

Its called, spot the item location:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320089289732&rd=1&rd=1

Macclesfield yes?

No, it came in from Thailand this morning. Now, whilst Im not overely bothered about waiting a week for it to arrive etc and it was cheaper than all other sellers. Im a little irked that I took the time to source the shirt from the UK, checking every sentence for any hint of the item coming from overseas.

His feedback was good, had I read a couple of pages in though he does get a neg for "Item location not macclesfield but Thailand". My fault. But TBH I dont feel you should have to check pages of feedback to discover the seller is lying about his location.

I will leave positive, its a nice shirt for the money. But I just needed a little rant

Thing is, you can't necessarily guarantee it's genuine if it came from thailand (or indeed many other places).
Fakes are rife and of quite decent appearance.
I would be more than a little annoyed.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

I don’t really see the problem if the T shirt is of good quality and not a cheap fake.

Many such T shirts are made in the far east anyway. All your supplier did was deliver direct from Thailand rather than import to Macclesfield and then onwards ship to you.

I recently bought the new Norah Jones CD/DVD special edition. It came with a Hong Kong stamp on the envelope. I didn’t care. It was delivered quickly; it was factory shrink wrapped in perfect condition; it was genuine and not a fake and most importantly I paid a sensible price for it.

A good, pragmatic attitude, but don't you object to being lied to (assuming it wasn't just a mistake on the part of the seller*)?

*Does ebay automatically state the item location to be the registered location of the seller?

As I said, I am happy with the shirt, its good quality. But it does annoy me when Ive gone out of my way to source a UK supplier. I know how many low quality shirts come out of Thailand so I wanted to be 100% certain it wasnt coming from there for that reason.

I dont like being lied to, as far as I could ascertain from that auction my seller was in Macclesfield, barely 20 miles away from me. To find out that actually it was coming in from Thailand was a little deceitful.

As I said, I will leave positive, but probably something to the effect of "Nice item, as described but could have stated shipping from Thailand"

SHOULD have stated shipping from Thailand :) He's breaking the rules and it clearly bothers you - report him for item location misrepresentation. Report button at the bottom of the listing.

I think you will find most T-Shirts are not going to be genuine when like this. However, I stand to be corrected if anybody knows where you can get official top gun merchandise such as that ;o)
    Be nice

I don’t see it as a “lie” as such. My purchase had “Essex” as the item location but that was not important to me. I think I knew the item might be shipped from abroad as I checked the feedback, which I always do anyway.

All I wanted was a brand new and genuine CD and that is what I received. I would buy again without hesitation from that supplier. :)

Yes indeed, and they discourage users from changing what appears in that box.

So either our boy registered in the UK fraudulently, or is dropshipping (again, it's an offence not to declare this) or has moved from Macclesfield to Thailand (well, who could blame him?) and didn't bother changing the location (naughty)

    My money's on undeclared drop-shipping.
