Hi, I've just received a parking ticket and wanted some advice. I was parking in a Loading bay and taking some stuff to the charity shop accross the road. Was only a couple of minutes and got a ticket. My thoughts were I was unloading, the shops were shut as it was a Sunday. I never meant to ignore the law I just never gave it a thought. There was a loading only sign and this was on the road. No yellow lines, I feel just so stupid but if there is any way I can appeal, I'd rather give the £35 to the charity! I could kick myself!

As said Pepipoo is your friend. Personally I would be appealing on the grounds that I was unloading & I would include a brief letter from the charity shop to confirm.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

i agree with this - write a nice letter explaining that you were 'unloading' to the charity shop on a sunday - i'd be amazed if a local authority persevered with a fine against that.0
