Natwest standing order for rent and technical problems

Hi all,
We have standing order for rent going out on my pay day which didnt go out because of the technical problems with natwest.
We have now spent over what we thought we had, yes our stupid fault from direct debits and point of sales but wouldn't have if the balance was showing right by natwest and they processed standing order on time.
Natwest won't let us over the overdraft limit because of poor credit rating by £250.
Now we have appointment on Monday and wondering if we can say anything to the manager to convince him to increase by £250 until my next payday because of their inability to process our standing order on time, would have been better for them to reject direct debits so rent paid.
Thanks
Rich

All I can suggest is that you plead for mercy - they may be sympathetic given the current circumstances.
In future get yourself a little note pad, pen and calculator, to help you keep track. I am not being sarcastic or rude, I really mean it, its what I do every single thing I spend is written down.
I also have 2 accounts, so that once my pay has gone in, I work out how much 'spending money' I have for the month and transfer that into the second account, therefore able to ensure enough funds for DD and SO.Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

There is a magic word, and that is "hardship". Say that the bank's failures will cause you to suffer hardship.YouGov: £50 and £50 and £5 Amazon voucher received;
PPI successfully reclaimed: £7,575.32 (Lloyds TSB plc); £3,803.52 (Egg card); £3,109.88 (Egg loans)0 -
I wouldn't go in guns blazing and blaming the bank as ultimately you should know what is in your account.0

I doubt the manager will increase the overdraft unless your pre approved for an increase. I get a suspicion this avenue is gonna be a non starter!Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
