Who sells the best floating shelves?

I'm looking to fit three 120cm Oak floating shelves in an alcove. I know they are widely available for sale in retailers like B&Q, Wickes, Ikea, etc, but I was wondering who sells the best ones in terms of qualtiy and sturdyness. The reason why I ask is I helped a friend fit one purchased from Argos not long ago, and although it was easy to put up, the bracket and the shelf did not tighten properly and the shelf was slanted and leaning forward. I had to fit some brackets underneath the shelf to get it level and sturdy, which defeated the object of it being floating.
Those of you that have floating shelves, where did you purchase yours from? Thanks

I have used them from IKEA and they have been very good.
Nice tight fit, no sagging.
Just make sure you use the right fittings to attach the bracket to the wall."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Not used a large variety by any means, but the ikea ones in my son's room were very good. Over time (perhaps about 8 years) they've sagged a bit solely due to the massive weight shoved on them.
One from B&Q has stayed solid but only has model aeroplanes on it. Similar fitting to the ikea ones
Several argos ones in the kitchen - horrible to put up, metal fittings were wonky and wouldn't lie flat on the wall, only way to get them remotely horizontal was to pack out with scraps of cardboard. But they were the only ones in the length I wanted.0 -
what are you fixing into? plaster board or solid wall/timber? what load will the shelves need to take?
If you have solid walls and heavy loads your best off getting special shelf pins which you can slide a solid plank on to make a shelf.
If you have plasterboard walls and light loads then plasterboard fixings and a egg box constructed shelf will do.0 -
i had one from Ikea up for a few years, I found these to be very good quality for the amount of money I paid
I also looked elsewhere and some seemed very flimsy0 -
Ours are from Homebase and are very sturdy. There's a lot of weight on them - books etc and no problems.Spend less now, work less later.0

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Ikea sometime this week. I'll be fixing the shelf onto a solid brick wall. Will be used for displaying small items, so nothing heavy.0
