Hi,
I recently read that Barclaycard are cutting out their cashback offer, so for the sake of it I thought I'd ask how much cashback I had built up (if you do not spend it by the end of July it disappears) I was told I only have £1.48... I am a little surprised as I spend a good £450 a month on my barclaycard for over a year now and 80% of that is on fuel so where is the rest of the money?
Does it get knocked off your balance or something?

This was their reward program which I think was rubbish anyway as you only get rewards from certain retailers. Any cash back not claimed will be added to your September statement I believe.0

My Barclay Card began life as a Morgan Stanley credit card which was used solely for the money back offers. It went through several ownerships but when Barclays gained ownership I stopped using it because of certain treatment from one of their branch at a time when I had two separate accounts with them. Eventually they persuaded me to begin using the card again which was ok but when they decided to reduce the money back to almost nothing then I stopped. It was purely a response to the cheekiness of of their attitude which is in my mind equivalent to that of the Banks towards savers.
With relationship to quantitative easing which is basically printing money from nothing, causing inflation then I equate these very low interest rates as stealing from the public. It's not criminal. It's within the rules0 -
Where's the information on this ? I'll close my account if it's correct
Thanks0 -
They are closing the "Rewards" scheme which is completely seperate to the "Cashback" award. If you check your account online, the Rewards figure is shown on the main account page (top right) in orange. To check the current Cashback total you have to go to the latest statement. There was another thread on this recently where several posters were clearly confusing the two schemes.0

Thanks for all the replies. I phoned Barclaycard as I still couldn't find it on their site... They told me that I do not have a cashback Barclaycard, that I have only a basic one.
I guess that explains that.0 -
