motability car question

Hi,the motability car dealer has requsted proof of my hrm,i have just got a letter stating my hrm from dwp,do i need any more proof for the motability dealer
thanks for your help

  • - you would get a letter from the DWP stating your name / address / NI number and the award date
    - it will clearly state the the date your HRM starts and how long it lasts for, or it may even now say .. .. an 'indefinite' period
    - that should be sufficient proof, if you have a problem let the group know

    New claimants will be routed onto PIP from spring of next year. However,I beleive that people already on DLA will not be switched over until their DLA is due for renewal. So the OP should be OK for a couple of years at least.

    Taking on a new car now for 3 years is a bit dicey, as the government are looking to get something like 25% off HRM altogether.
    PIP starts trialling next year. Existing claimints wont be assessesed till 2014, early 2015. They have at least 2 years to go.
