Yes, my one arrived today, (so there is still hope for others) and what's more it is the one I wanted, the Jeanette Winterson one. Excellent! I did intend to make everyday use out of it, but having seen it I think I shall only use it on special occasions.

Well, I have received two - one is black and says 'This here music' and the other one says it is by Simon and Tom Bloor.

I don't think I really want or need them so I am happy to send one to the first two people to pm me saying their first choice.

I am sorry to pick on this board member in particular - it's endemic - but this demonstrates something thats WRONG about this board, that is sending off for things you don't need or want simply because it's free. This excellent offer is closed. Several people who wanted one of these cannot now get one. Yet THIS member's sent for two that he neither has or had a use for. She or he is certainly not the only one - inother places members boast of sending of for the other half, the mother in law, the second house, the cat ... Why be so greedy, especially if you did not need it in the first place?
Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.

I have only just read this comment. If I could say that I also don't agree with sending off for things I don't need or want. When I read the original article, I thought this would be something that I could use. My computer lost its connection at the time I was doing this and I continued with it the following day. I was surprised when the two came through. As I realised that I would not use them, I immediately offered them to fellow mse'rs and yes, I did pay the postage myself.

I always make a point of offering to charity shops, fellow mse'rs or the charity at my place of work, anything I don't need or can't use.

I really don't think your comments to me are fair, without knowing the full facts.

If anyone got the Tracy Emin one, theres one on ebay going for £500:eek: and

the same person is selling a Jeanette winterson one for £250:eek:

Might be worth locking them in a safe if you got one.
