Hi
I've just changed my dad over to Plusnet because it is much cheaper than what he is paying.
It's working fine - probably better than his BT. I've just done a speed test and download was 9.8MB but the upload was only 0.4MB.
Does he need to worry about the upload speed?
It's certainly moving from page to page quick enough.

Upload speed would mostly affect sending files to people / sites If no files are sent (often), it won't affect much else.0
