egg loan policy number

I have just managed to dig up statement from 2002 on the lloyds tsb banking site and found a payment to an egg loan i had then. would the number next to the description be the policy number?
e.g. XXXXXXXX/XXXXXXX(8 numbers dash 7 numbers)

That long number is the account number. I found it by looking at lloyds statements from 2002 online too.
My fos form has gone to egg with that long number on
