I had a suspicious message from Facebook to my e-mail account which took the form of a Paypal receipt for payment ( with a number )for 7 Safari Cash which is a game app sold by Facebook themselves.
When I have tried to dispute it by signing in to my Facebook account, it tells me it has been locked to protect my account from suspicious hacker activity.
To re-open my account I have to upload a page from my passport or a driving license which I am not prepared to do at the moment.
I have checked my Paypal account as my intention was to dispute any payment with them but the payment if indeed there is one is not showing at all. The amount is only 65p but I have a feeling its Facebook trying to get more information on my proflie as I hardly use it.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

But are you clicking the link in your email account to go to Facebook ? If so go to Facebook through Google
Never heard of Facebook asking for Passport or Driving Licence usually they ask you the names of some of your contacts.0 -
Don't go through Google (or any other search engine)
Open an internet browser and type http://www.facebook.com/How do I add a signature?0 -
Thanks for the suggestion to open in an internet browser but I still get the message that it is temporarily locked but thank you for the suggestion.0

They have done you a favour..........0

try http://69.171.242.74
Before anyone says "Don't", check it out using the hosts command in linux or whatever the windows equivalent is. This is the resolved IP address of www.facebook.com
If this gives you the page you expect, your DNS has been hacked. I suspect you are not seeing facebook at all - especially as you are being asked for scans of ID documents.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I'd agree you're not seeing a true facebook page. When I have tried to dispute it by signing in to my Facebook account, it tells me it has been locked to protect my account from suspicious hacker activity.
Facebook doesn't use that specific terminology. Note the use of the word "Suspended" as opposed to "Locked", and no use of the term "Hacker".

Confirming your identity
When I try to log in to Facebook, I get this message: "Your account has been temporarily suspended"
You are seeing this message because Facebook has detected suspicious activity on your account and has temporarily suspended it as a security precaution. This may be because your Facebook account was accessed from an unfamiliar computer. It is also possible that your password was "phished," or stolen by a website designed to look like Facebook.
You will be able to regain access to your account once you complete the automated security verification process.0 -
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions but my account is still'temporarily locked'. It still wants my ID which I am not prepared to give. To be honest it can stay that way I hardly use it and I find it intrusive. I get annoyed when people put photos up and I am in them!0

I will keeping checking my Paypal account though as I do use that and if someone has penetrated my security, I will be taking it up with them.
Thanks to everyone who posted but it does seem to be a genuine facebook page0 -
