How to get from Notts E.Midland airport to Lincoln after 10.30 pm?

Hi, I am popping over to Lincoln to see a friend at the weekend, arriving Nottingham East Midlands at 22.35 on Friday. How do I get from the airport to central Lincoln at that time of night? (I could make my friend drive but she'd have to bring her little baby with her as hubbs will be at work so that'd be a last resort).

Hi Wombat, thanks for going to all that effort.

Unfortunately my plane doesn't arrive until 10.30 in the evening, so I will be way too late to get the train. I think I will offer to pay a baby sitter for my friend, then she can come and get me - otherwise it'll be a taxi. So much for a cheap flight....

No problem Snowy. It is a pain trying to get late night transport from East Mids Airport, especially if you don't just want to hop into Nottingham.

I don't know whether it would have been easier to travel into Lincoln from Humberside Airport. It's supposed to be simpler to get to than East Mids, as long as you can get a flight to it.

I think your idea of a babysitter might be the cheapest solution. £40 for the taxi was probably quite conservative. Hope you have a good visit.
