Wedding nightmares

Who else gets these?

I had my first last night and it was a really unpleasant one...it was my wedding night, in a hotel, already changed out of outfits, and I couldn't remember a single bit of my wedding day. I was racking my brains and getting really upset but the whole thing was an absolute blank. It was actually quite horrible, I was thinking all that planning and preparation and I'll never do it again but it's just gone completely. Ergh!

So, tell me I'm not alone! What are your wedding nightmares?

I have had the exact same one! I made my OH & Best man redo it! But they weren't doing it properly, and thought I was joking that I couldn't remember it. It was horrible!

Not really a nightmare, but last night I dreamed my dress was delivered (not even ordered it yet lol) and the box was HUGE. Just remember thinking 'how on earth am I going to get that on the plane?!' :rotfl:

I had a dream that the groom's sister dropped a cigarette on my dress and it went on fire.

Ooh, and the most upsetting one was that it was the day of the wedding and I had nobody to help me get ready or get to the ceremony. I was frantically trying to do my hair and fasten the dress and no taxi companies would answer the phone. I thought I was going to miss it.

But I think both of those dreams represent anxieties that aren't really wedding related!

Hope you ladies all have sweeter dreams soon.

I had a wedding anxiety dream the day after I got engaged :o I dreamt I was walking down the aisle and just had this overwhelming thought of 'they're all looking at me!' It was sooo different what I hope my actual wedding will be like though which was mildly reassuring...

Like it or not, these dreams are all manifestations of anxiety. All the more reason to have a small, discreet ceremony and plan a big party later when there's less pressure.

We're doing precisely this - and believe me organsing 'the big party later' (4 days after the wedding) is just as stressful!! :)

PS the last few wedding dreams I've had have left me feeling so excited and happy. Haven't had one in a couple of weeks though - ha - too tired to dream!

So having one or two anxiety dreams about one of the most important days of your life makes you a bridezilla? Really? It's a huge important day whether you are having 2 witnesses or 300 guests, I don't think anxiety has anything to do with the size of the day or being a bridezilla!
