Unauthorised Credit searches on file

Hi

Upon checking my noddle report, I have found some worrying searches carried out on my previous address from organisations I have not heard of.

Mem Consumer Finance Limited (Cr, Sr, Ct)
Mem Consumer Finance (Sr Api) Checking Credit Application

Mem Consumer Finance Cval
Mem Cval Ml Anti-Money Laundering 02/04/2012

Pdl Finance (Ml Sr)
Pdl Finance Sr Checking Credit Application 02/04/2012

Cim Technologies Limited- Checking Credit Application

Casheuronet Uk (Sr, Ml, Ct)
Checking Credit Application 02/04/2012

Casheuronet Uk (Sr, Ml, Ct)
Casheuronet Uk Ml - Anti-Money Laundering 02/04/2012

Wonga.Com (Ml, Sr)
Wonga.Com LTD (Sr)- Checking Credit Application 02/04/2012

Graydon Uk LTD
Implement Procedures LTD
Identification Check 30/03/2012

OK, I have heard of Wonga and that has me particularly worried. One of them has searched on an incorrect DoB (one day out).

I was so worried I signed up for Equifax online report.

They have searches against the above previous address and an additional one to

from

Casheuronet-emc Computer Systems
and
Txt It Ou-192business

It does apear in the 'other searches' table and state they are ID and additional addres checks- I am still worried and also wonder who they are!

I called Equifax who could not give me any other information and said it is not to worry about and won't affect credit applications.

I am deeply worried about that Wonga one though!

Any ideas or help _pale_

The majority seem to be payday loan companies.
    Pdl Finance = Payday loan
Casheuronet = Payday loan aka Quickquid.
    Wonga = payday loan
Cim Technology Ltd = Payday loan aka UKpayday.

I have an account with Quickquid (Casheuronet) and have many of these checking application application and money laundering checks on my accounts. These are standard checks done by payday loan companies to first process the application and then further ID checks to make sure your who you say you are.

Quickquid tend to do many of these checks wether you take a loan out with them or not* (*After the 1st loan has been taken out with them).
I made a dispute on nearly all the checking credit applications and money laundering entries by Casheuronet via the dispute button on the noddle report (This is as simple as pressing a couple of buttons to log a dispute).

I have been advise by Noddle after they have investigated my disputes with Casheuronet that all these entries are to be removed.
    Give it a go.

If you do not know that these are all payday loan company entries then you must not have applied to all these places therefore maybe fraud has taken place.

Have you applied to multiple Payday loan companies?

Thanks for your reply. I have looked into this now and can see who these companies are. I was in a stressed state when writing that.

I have nothing to do with any pay day loan companies and after having contacted them, can see that multiple applications for these loans have been made using my details.

I saw these entries on my noddle report and have reported them. I will contact action fraud too. Equifax have stated they are nothing to worry about. I will have to let them know too. Experian were not interested in helping me unless I paid the credit expert fee again.

I want these searches removed and the data held by these payday loan companies. To be flagged as a fraudulent application using an innocent persons details.

I am now wondering how they got hold of my previous address, dob, and name. They applied only at this previous address where I am no longer on the electoral role.

I'd definitely chase up, if you haven't used these companies someone has stolen you id. Payday lenders are less thorough with credit checks

    Thanks

I moved several years ago. The previous address is actually my parents place so I have access to any post for me there.

I am chasing all the pay day loans companies I can trace. I would like them to make a note on their system and of course investigate. I expect that is wishful thinking though.

I would also like all these searches to be removed. Unless I really sign up to creditn expert again Experian seem reluctant to help.

I need to wait until Monday now before anything is open.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

  • I too have had the same thing happen, I've had two searches done on Christmas eve, Im not sure what to do.

I have a loan with pounds to pocket with back in June within days I was inundated with phone calls text messages from payday loan companies they started ringing my work too. I had to change my mobile number and the call at work have calmed down a bit.

But my credit report is trashed full of companies doing credit checks etc even now.

I don't know what to do Ive been trying so hard to repair things and now its all ruined.

    Any advice??
