Barclaycard pre-checker

I have noticed that Barclaycard pre-checker, is now checking both Equifax and call credit.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Yeah, I tried the Barclaycard soft search a few months back and now have quotation search and administrative review entries (Both done of the same day) on my Callcredit report.

    I thought they would only searched equifax.

    What did the quote offer you in the way of card type and percentage of acceptance on each card type?

    I got 90% for Initial and 70% on Platinum :(

    Never went through with the full search as I am waiting to pay down some of the balances on my cards before I re-apply.

    I am hoping to see if this alters the percentage in favour of the Platinum as I know that the 70% at present would be a straight decline or a refer then decline outcome.

    I had 90% for initial, 80-90% for platinum purchases and simplicity.


    Got accepted for the platinum simplicty with no issues
