I think it is too, although my sister is three years younger than me and has a lot more wrinkles. She smoked for a long time and spends a lot of time sunbathing.0 -
I don't think any cream will help sagging, I honestly believe its not outside in but inside out. You can minimise lines with lots of water/herbal teas just to hydrate. They say sugar is very ageing amongst the well known smoking, sun and alcohol. But i love sugar
Like a drink but hate the sun.
Also some people swear by taking a couple of tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil a day. I take hemp seed oil capsules which are quite cheap.
Yoga is supposed to be good for the face as there are a lot of postures that get the blood to your face.
Another i have read about is diatomaceous earth food grade as it is very rich in silica for great hair and skin. I haven't tried this yet but am looking into it.
Then there is facial exercises but you have to do them regularly like any exercise.
Bicarbonate of soda facial scrub is very good at exfoliating gently and some say it makes their skin glow.
Also natural moisturisers like shea butter, coconut oil and pure cocoa butter are said to be good for aging and lines.
Personally I would never buy into the expensive cream thing for one I cannot afford it and I don't believe they are any better than cheaper things and self help like exercise.
I'm 38 but have noticed a decline in skin tone and sagging even though people say i look the same as i did years ago, but i have to do it for myself and because i don't have the funds for expensive treatments i do it as cheaply as poss and get good results.0 -
My gran is nearing 90 and has amazing skin with few wrinkles. She uses regular soap to wash her face and a bit of olay, but not always. She'll more often than not go bare faced. She's never smoked or drunk, she's never been one for make up or the sun. She reckons her secret is a glass of warm water with lemon in the morning and evening!
Me, I use P&P and factor 15 on my face. I'm 40 and look in my twenties with really good skin. Like my gran, I'm not a sun seeker, dont drink or smoke and I eat really well. Must have her genes too!£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
OP, I have been using lactic acid/salicylic acid peels and have noticed a significant difference in my skin texture for the better. My skin had been losing radiance and I was seriously considering botox but have been doing these peels and don't feel I need botox just now.
They are alcohol free and I have no side effects so no peeling, burning or down time after them. My skin just looks fab.

If you look up helichrysum (also known as immortale), it is used in overpriced products, and all you need is a couple of drops. 10ml has lasted me for over a year. As a bonus, I love the smell.
I'm 41, and often get mistaken for about 28. Although I don't think I look like I did when I was 28, and am not impressed by my jowl area. It's definitely NOT good and I would like to tighten it up, but don't know how.
Hmm i use immortale eye cream and really liking it atm, might try out helichrysum as I love essential oils and use them all the time.
As for jowls - try facial exercises..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
