For my 1st job in UK

Hi guyz,

I am new in this forum and i just want to get some ideas regarding how the system is in this country

I am Doctor in medicine field but still in the process of registration. In the meantime i am looking for some position related to my previous experience.

I have got responses from 3 emails

In the first email regarding medical receptionist, they asked me to provide cover letter to be attached with my CV so they can forward it, i replied them 3days back since then no reply from them.

In 2nd email regarding tutors, they told me that they are interested but they were asking for CRB. I told them i dont have one and if they can apply it for me. Again no reply.

In 3rd email regarding P/T medical summariser+receptionist they told it to be 5hours/week but later on mentioned they can offer me 13 more hours/week and i asked that could these hours be written and i get even more or they are in total (i think that i made a mistake by asking too much). After that they did not replied. This was yesterday

I dont know they are not replying means they dont want to consider me.

Any ideas from the experts? Is there any chance for me to get an interview???

a lot of medical students are used to summarize medical records
and a lot of the hiring is word of mouth- someone who knows someone.
its a good job if you are awaiting registration.
i would phone them and politely ask what you can do to help them
if they are still considering you for the job.
(and yes, i think it is off putting to be asking for so much- probably the hours are very very informal- work as needed)
    good luck

Sorry, don't know if this is a wind-up, but if your not registered and have used the same, poor, standard of English in your applications, I'm surprised you received a reply at all.

    Not really comparable, is it?

    Doctors don't write 'guyz' with a z.

Not directly comparable, but people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Suspect the OP might be a bit of a wind-up, but doctors are just as prone to using 'text speak' in informal settings as anyone else. I have a gynaecologist buddy who writes his Facebook statuses like a 12 year old would.
  • You are right still have to work on my english but i made post without proofreading, so might be the reason.

Again read the post after replies and appears to have awful english. I was abit informal.

    Any new suggestions ?

I will give a call to last email

Thank you very much to point out.

Honestly, your English isn't just informal, its bad.

You're missing lots of words for a start. Are there language requirements when registering as a doctor in the UK? You might need to find a class or something to improve yours to stand any chance of getting a job.

I doubt that person_one the number of indian nurses around who can't even speak basic english is disgraceful.

I mean really bad if they were asking something, say for example "Can you go and get george up from bed, but only him for now" they would say "Can you go get the george up from bed only".

The, making it sounds like their !!!!in objects. The amount of times in my last place i had to keep repeating and they didn't understand is disgraceful

    Or

when we where doing rounds getting the residents up etc. Theyn used to say everything is up or nothing left to put in bed

All the Indian nurses I know speak perfect English, far better than you, they have to to work here. Maybe you're thinking of Indian care assistants, the requirements for those are much lower, as you know from first hand experience.

Well it is still disrespectful to call them it and thing.

I don't like the care they used to give at all, wasn't care based was time and money based
