The Sony camcorder has got a photo button which allows you to capture an image for 7 seconds with sound. You can view images individually or as a slide show. This can be done through the camcorder or tv or computer. I don't know yet if you can somehow save these images as jpeg files to allow you to print pictures off. :doh:0

It was the big Sainsburys at Oldbury but I would think this offer is available at other large Sainsburys across the country.
Saw it in my sainsburys in Kent yesterday. Wasnt sure how it worked though - a friend told me it recorded straight onto mini disks that you can put into your dvd player. However, from what you say about tapes it seems not. How do you transfer your recordings so that you can play them on your tv?Ellie

Picked up the Samsung for £112 today.
The mic picks up the tape whirr though I think, apart from that, for a £112 it'll do me fine.
Cheers!0 -

You can connect the camcorder direct to the tv using the supplied av cable. Select the Av number on your dvd recorder to match the camcorder connection ie, AV5. Press play on the camcorder & record on the dvd recorder. Alternatively, you can connect the camcorder to a pc using the supplied usb cable. Then use the pc software supplied to transfer your footage to the pc. The only problem with this method is that it creates a Video CD NOT a DVD. To create a DVD from your camcorder to PC you need an i-link cable and have an i-link port on your PC.0
