my 13year old had his first op at aged 8 weeks and had numerous since including this one twice, the actual op will be fine expect him to be groggy when he comes round, the worst part for me was in the anaethetic room when he went from crying to floppy and out within seconds, other parents dont let this bother them, but im such a big girl at times lol

try not to fret too much he will be fine

My son is 2 and a bit and I seeing the consultant again in a month as first time round at 16 months they said they wanted to wait to see if they dropped by theirselves and now I am not happy and want it done...obviousley it is hard but I know that he will be in best of hands so that helps

Best of luck or am assuming all been done now? If so how did he get on?

Well didn't go to plan, he was a little ill the day before but in afternoon eating normally and didn't have a temp. So took him in the following morning.

They took his temp which was normal, but due to waking up at 4.30 and being nil by mouth, and an hour of doing checks and paperwork he was completely distressed and hot to the touch. Even putting a name wrist tag on him was terrible.

So they umm and ahh-ed and got sent home, so currently waiting for another appoinment, and trying to prepare him better??

My son had this op when he was around 10. Twenty five years later he is the father of three very lively sons so I think we can safely say the operation was a success.:T
