Hi I've been after a GoPro HD HERO 2 for ages and these have turned up on ebay today.
If it looks to good to be true ..........
No feedback for 3 years, then one 2 days ago? Is this an old account thats been hijacked or something? Just cant quite put my finger on it.
Looks very dodgy to me, what do you think?

Look at the copyright on the photos, always a clue

Thanks gollum. I had spotted that in the warrenty details section, but thought that they had just 'nicked' the listing. Are they also using a hacked dormant account or something?
Is there any way to warn the five purchasers today?
Cheers.0 -
Even if the photo or selling account didn't look dodgy, the price alone should be a good indicator that it's a scam.
The camera is listed on a BIN for close to half of the price that reputable sellers have it for, and they have other listings whose prices are even more ridiculous (such as an Ipad 2 Wi-Fi+3G 32GB for £160, which is about £350 lower than retailers such as Amazon)
Not directly. All you can do is to report the listing to ebay and hope that they pull it.Is there any way to warn the five purchasers today?
If the buyers have already paid via paypal, they should get their money back but it may take a little while.0 -
someones falling for it. 6 have sold in the last 20 minutes since I started this thread.
Can anyone do anything to get the listing pulled? Someone who knows what they are doing.0 -
There's a report listing tab, I've just reported it.
If everyone reports it, then it may get pulled quickly.0 -
I reported it as soon as the OP made their first post, ebay are very slow to act, they will probably get around to doing something tomorrow after the scammer has done a runner with the money.0

As the selling account has only received one feedback in the past 4 years (for a $1 item), I wouldn't be surprised if Paypal have put a 21 day hold on any funds received, especially as they have suddenly started listing many "scammable" items.
Hopefully this will prevent the scammer from getting any money.0 -
The $1 item was probably a test to see if there was a hold on the account.0

Listing now removed. Well done ebay, and thanks everyone.0
