Such a open question, depending on your risk factor would depend on whether you stick it in NS&I or go off to Kempton for the 2.30pm0

There is no single best place, far from it.
If you don't watch to touch it for 35 years, there are options. If you want it next year, there are options. These options are *very* different to each other.
There are many other factors too, such as other savings and investments, current pension provision, attitude to risk, and much more.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
agreed with the other posters - it depends on what you want to do with it, not where it came from - are you willing to risk it to try and get higher gains? if not then it's just the std savings accounts for you?0

Depends on your attitude to risk and your personal circumstances.
Personally I would buy a couple (at least!) of properties at auction and rent them out. However, I would advise you see an Independent Financial Adviser who will probably work through a flowchart with you to work out your attitude to risk and then advise what options are open to you.0 -
Mortgage house, fixed rate. The rent saved should prove more then any interest gained elsewhere
