Euro Car Park Penalty

While driving my car , my friend has received a ticket few months ago for parking in Aldi`s car park . The car park was free for customers for 1 hour and she forgot to display a ticket. I have wrote to Euro Car Park explaining the situation and asking them to check the CCTV to prove that she hasn't stayed over one hour. They haven't replied and after a while I received the the letter from the debt collection company. I wrote to them again asking them first to reply to my letter(appeal) before sending my details to the debt collection company. they resent the first letter then I asked them to provide evidence of my car being in the car park...they sent me back pictures of my car being parked in the car park..fair enough , I was willing to pay the £70 penalty. when I called them ...surprise...they said that I owe them £130 the difference representing administration fees . they didnt accepted £70 pounds and they just hang up on me.
I just think that I was reasonable offering to them £70.
I read similar posts and seems like most people invoiced by Euro Car are ignoring them . Do you think that because I started the correspondence with them will determine them to take me to the Court having enough prove that I have admitted that my friend was parking my car in their parking bays?
I hope my English is understandable
Thank you,
Amelisa

Don't be daft - why on earth have you taken this so seriously?! You actually thought you would pay the scammers £70?!!
ECP NEVER do Court, NEVER.
Start ignoring them, no it's not too late even though you think you have 'already appealed', we get asked this question every couple of days...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Even if you’ve written and told them who the driver was, it doesn’t make their actions any less unlawful. It just means that instead of harassing the registered keeper, they can now harass the driver.
But, they can't actually do anything, for the same reason that a Nigerian e-mail scammer couldn't sue anyone who didn’t pay them.
Continue to ignore everything you get from the PPC and their aliases. It does seem counter-intuitive to deal with something by ignoring it. Eventually, they will run out of empty threats, and stop throwing good money after bad.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Do customers get a refund on their parking ticket if they spend over a certain amount in store?
If so the losses to Aldi (whom I'm assuming is the land-owner in this case) would be zero, as any gains from the P&D ticket would have been eaten up by the refund they would have given.
Euro won't go anywhere near a court they are too scared of getting whipped0 -
Shows their ultimate greed they had the chance of copping £70 for nowt and wanted more!0
