I'm feed up of buying cheap can openers that work once and then never work again.
so have decided to splash out on one that will last.
any recommendations?

I have a Good Grips one as I have poor grip strength in my hands. I've only had it a short while, but it seems very sturdy.0

Controversially, we can recommend the Kenwood electric can opener! I never would have bought one myself but it was a wedding present and is ever so reliable. We went through a few cheap regular can openers in a couple of years so it's nice to have one that is lasting and very good at its job.0

My can opener is a cheapy from Tesco I think it was about 2 quid and I have had it for years.
To be honest I find that more and more cans have the ring pull opening now so I don't use it all that much1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

I have a disastrous history with can openers. They seem to work well at first then lose it. The best one I've come across is the Culinare from Lakeland - its strange to use at first but works a treat (but isn't dishwasher safe)

Since he left, and it's only me using one i've had the same one for the past 3 years, my oh now who is also a leftie, isn't allowed to touch it!I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
