Halifax Reward Account Opening

Hi,
I applied for this account online about 5 or so days ago and at the end it told me to print my details off for my reference and that's it. Didn't confirm if I had been accepted or anything.
Anyway I haven't heard anything since, no email confirming application, nothing in the post etc.
So my question is has anyone recently applied online and is so did you get a confirmation online?, emails? etc or if similar to me, what happened?
I rang Halifax but apparently the relevant Department is closed.

I'd wait 7 - 10 (working) days for a reply. You don't get an instant decision.0

You used to get a instant decision. When I opened mine about 18 months ago now, when Halifax were still using their own systems, I applied, had my account opened, and had online banking set up in about 20 mins. They've totally gone backwards since moving onto Lloyds systemsDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0 -

Oh dear, that's not good. Looks like I will have to wait. A bit frustrating.0 -

Well I managed to ring the number Halifax gave me and they said they have no record of my application and apply again. That doesn't fill me with confidence.0

I did the same and was told the same thing. The next day my debit card arrived!
For some reason, I don't think they can track online applications.
Therefore, I would suggest NOT applying again. Not yet, anyway. Give it 10 working days.0 -

Oh dear, I have just applied again:o This could get messy.
So frustrating, they haven't got a clue. Today's post hasn't been so there is still hope.0
