Just had my statement from Halifax abd there is a cash advance fee of £15, what does this mean? Is it because I paid off what I spent before the statement was produced?

cash advance fee on a CC is usually when you draw out cash at an ATM or cash equivalent (traveller cheques, foreign currency)

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
