bailiff in the shop i work for

Hi guys,

I work in a shop that is a branded clothing franchise.
today due to a debt to the landlord the shop has been sold as a going concern to the brand. The brand has taken over the lease and all staff contracts.

I am wondering what happens now? i will be leaving anyway in 1 weeks time, i will be owed 2 weeks salary plus 4 days holiday, will these be paid by the brand or my old employer?

any information at all on this kind of thing would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

dan

It will depend on your contract! You should be issued with new terms referencing your new employer - and it is to this that will outline the dual obligations.
