Today i had my electric windows not working alongside the blower heater, boy was it hot, the radio was fine the car drove okay, the lo behold i went to my local garage for guidance and they said its a fuse , i went back to car and everything worked fine again.
Very odd, any idea on this and where would i find the fuse box to check this out
thanks

The fuse box is usually somewhere near the stearing wheel/drivers foot well, look for a panel with an indent near it (it should be noted in the user manual).
There may also be a box in the engine area, under the bonnet.
Normally the fuses will be numbered/have icons showing what they are for printed/moulded onto/into the area around the fuses (with my kia and my old Zafira from memory the fuses were numbered, with the panel that covered them having list of what the fuses were for).
If it's intermittant it could be a loose wire, or even a fuse that is slightly loose, given it seems to be affecting two systems I'd suspect a loose wire/connection as I doubt the blower heater would work on the same fuse as the windows.
What make/model car is it?
My sisters Punto had issues with it's electric windows, that turned out to be a set of wires that had a push fit connection at the door, which had a screw cover to hold them in place, the cover had come unscrewed so the connection was loose (affecting the electric windows).0 -

The main fusebox is located below the fascia panel on the passenger's side, and is accessed by opening and removing the glove box. Press in the sides of the glove box and lower it completely.
The auxiliary fusebox is located next to the brake fluid reservoir. Unclip and remove the cover to get to the fuses.0 -
Hi
Check out this Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toolzone-120pc-Mini-Blade-Fuses/dp/B002NH3Z50/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340986621&sr=8-1
This will help you in 2 ways: you will see from the picture what the fuses look like, and you will be able to buy a set of all the car fuses you will ever need, for £3:50 + delivery.
Bedsit Bob has given you the correct location of the fuseboxes. If you wish, you can find the affected fuse(s), which have a clearly-seen metal strip along the top, that will be broken when the fuse blew. If you don't want to buy the fuses, but have recognised them from the Amazon picture, take the blown fuse(s) to a local Accessory store (Halford's are good and have good staff) and match up the fuse.
I have had 3 Focus' and a C-max, but going right back to Cortina's (Mark 1 and up to Mk. V) I had regular trouble with Ford fuses. Funnily enough, they never blew twice. My latest is a 2010 Focus Titanium and that blew the Wash/Wipe system in the first 3 weeks!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

You can get a set of 30 fuses (5 each of 7.5A, 10A, 15A, 20A, 25A, 30A) from Pound world.

and now my windows are working the radio has stopped coming on, i have looked under bonnet but no sign of any being a radio fuse so i guess it will be the one on passenger side.
I shall have a look and see what i find...0
