Just bought something off Very

Options
As it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else, but it's opened up a credit account (which I knew before I bought it)

anyway, I want to pay it off and cancel it. Should I leave it a couple of months and then cancel it, or just pay it off and close it right now. would either look bad on a creditreport?

You can pay it off straight away. Log in to make a credit/debit card payments and your balance will be zero.

I can't imagine any problems that will be caused by closing it quite soon after it was opened. If you do leave it will a nil balance, however, they will very quickly send you a discount code for your next order (I've had £10/£20/£30 off next order after clearing balances and the account being nil for a month or two)

keep it open, when they have offers you can get sometimes a lot cheaper than online and as others said the discount deals are worth it zero intrest
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

When you opened the account with Very, what was the credit limit they allocated to your account?

    £1000

Will it have done a search on my credit report?

What a waste of a credit search...

I ordered my item with Collect+, saw it had been "delivered" at the store and went to pick it up, only to be told there was nothing there. I even got an email *while in the store* saying "your order has just been dropped off"

I checked a few days later, and suprise suprise, no parcel. I then checked the website, and it said my parcel had been delivered, then 2 days later posted back to Very, without me even laying my eyes on it once

I ended up emailing Very telling them to shove it up their !!!! and give me a refund. Oh well, at least I don't have to bother returning the item as they already did it for me on my behalf

    thanks Very!

As the parcel reaches the collect+ store, it is scanned in by the collect+ store to say that they have received it. Once it is scanned by the store, then the email or sms text gets sent to you.

Very strange that the parcel was not received at the store going by the above procedure.

I have collected many many Very parcel from the collect+ store with no problems at all and the store owners have confirmed that when the parcels arrive, they must scan it in, then the mail is sent out to you.
