Finding new policy : confused how to answer a ?

Ok so my car insurance comes to the end in july. I am filling out the forms on the compare websites but not sure how to answer one question. The car is mine and i am the policy holder. My husband is on my policy always has been since a driving offence in 2005 made a policy in his own right expensive. Anyway he drives as part of his job and again is a named driver on his bosses policy. I always declare that he drives other vehicles. In january he collided with another car whilst working. Both parties dispute liability and it is still being argued out between insurances companies. What do i write in the accident bit when i add him as a named driver? Obviously this was in his company vehicle not my car. My car has never been in an accident.

You add the accident details under the "additional driver" section as HE has had an accident, regardless of what he was driving at the time.

Thanks. Shall i put the cost as how much his insurance paid for the van to date. Obviously this may change if he is deemed liability in future. I don't want the insurance company thinking i have given false details.

Depends on the wording of the question in the "accident bit".

    What exactly does it ask?

Personally, if it's unsettled disputed liability I'd not declare it, but then again I'd be prepared to challenge the insurer in court; as is the case for a 'non-fault' claim that was registered against me even though the third party (who had driven into me) eventually dropped charges and I hadn't claimed anything!
