A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Just finished my proofreading shift, bit knackered and quite thankful that the typists of the two files I rejected didn't get them redone and uploaded before 10pm, as those jobs are full verbatim which is a nightmare to proof! (Full verbatim transcription is where you type literally everything the person says, so the transcripts end up looking some-, something like, um, this, and, and, and, it's, er, very diff-, diffi-, annoying to read
) I also suspect that the client didn't actually mean to select the full verbatim option, but that's not my problem
What else have I done today? Quite a bit, actually. Fed the boys, mucked out the field shelters, fed the dog, ran 10k around the village (and if I hadn't had to do seven 180 degree turns, would have smashed my PB set in a race 4 years ago - as it was, I just about equalled it!), did two loads of laundry, wolfed down a pizza, cleaned the house from top to bottom, broke down a load of cardboard in the annexe, checked the box for post because we forgot yesterday, mucked out part of the lower field, fed the boys (realised I'd left the feed shed open all day, but amazingly they hadn't raided it!), filled up the hay racks because we have rain coming in the early hours and then settled down to my proofreading shift. Phew!
Anyway, I have another balance transfer offer courtesy of yesterday's post. This time it's one of the Barclaycards, the fee is 1.9% for a bank transfer, 0% until September next year, so I've been running the figures again to see if it's worth transferring the overdraft onto it (or at least enough of the overdraft to stop me having to pay interest on that account). As far as I can work out, the balance transfer fee to move £4k would be £76 and IF I can continue to pay down the overdraft at £150 a week, then I'd only pay £70.26-ish in interest on the overdraft. So I'll leave as is for now and review again in January when I know how post-Christmas sales are holding up.
Tomorrow's going to be busy - just checked eBay and my website and I have 60 orders to go at the moment.0 -
Busy day - 62 orders packed and posted plus all the November invoicing done.0

Much less busy day
Fewer orders to go
but had some proofreading to do and the library van came for its last visit of the year. Just finished my workout for today where I was introduced to Bulgarian Split Squats for the first time. If I can walk tomorrow, I'll be surprised!!
I have YNABbed this month's income and it's not looking great. I either need three weeks of really fantastic sales so I can give myself a Christmas bonus, or the payment for November's proofreading isn't going to have any tax or VAT put aside from it and will need making up over the next couple of months.0 -
I never knew what they were called! I always found them good (but yes your muscles will know about it!)Must use my stash up!0

Whoops, meant to put a little fantasy spreadbetting update in. I've closed out one bet for a £9 loss. The other four are still active and are currently showing profit/loss of -£3, +£76, +£6 and +£13 respectively, which makes me £82 up overall at the moment.0
