Ooh I've never heard of that - I best not google it in case I end up spending money!
I'm pleased you don't know what you want to be when you grow up either
Good news on sales and the abscess.
We have lovely weather here at the moment too - I tried working outside but I can't see my screen :SDebt - CCV £3792

*Waves* sorry to not have popped by for so long. Can I just say that I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, either, but as my Mum always says "I have no real intention of growing up, so it's never likely to be a problem"

There was previously a mention of a tea-and-cake type meeting on Thursday afternoon, when we will be hanging around Thurso waiting for it to be time to wander to Scrabster. Are you still available? Be lovely to say hello if so, but equally I can well understand that you may well have other plans at this short notice!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I have removed myself from my transcription shift that day (just in time - I have to give them 24 hours' notice!) so I can come and say hello
Do you want me to come and meet you off the train at Thurso, then you don't have to lug your luggage all the way down to Scrabster. PM me with your train time
It's turned out to be a really busy day. I had half a focus group (66 minutes) for a food company which left me feeling really hungry - I only had time for a banana for lunch.
Because it was a long file and it was assigned late, my deadline was 5pm, but because of the noise from the window installers, I had to email in at 4.50 and apologise in advance for being a bit late with it. I got my half uploaded at 5.15, I've just logged back into the system and whoever had the first half STILL hasn't uploaded it, so I feel slightly better about my fifteen minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if I get assigned whatever's not been done of the first half tomorrow.
The library van was here as well with a big pile of books that I'd ordered, so I have a nice stack to work my way through over the next couple of weeks

No update last night - I was about to do it and then the power went off. Fortunately I have a landline phone that's old enough that it doesn't need electricity, so I phoned SSE to find that it wasn't just us - the whole of the Highlands, Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland were out. This is what it looked like from satellite:

According to local gossip in the post office (we have quite a lot of SSE blokes here at the moment, building a wind farm), someone flicked the wrong switch at Beauly, which is the hub for all the upgraded power lines coming down from the wind farms in the north. Oops!
Anyway, what happened yesterday? The £333 came in from the credit card sale, which was nice. I had a 61 minute file to transcribe which was beautifully clear audio and finance-based, so that was nice and quick to go through
Today I had very little to pack and post and no file because I was off into town to meet EssexHebridean and Mr EH
We met up at the surf cafe (or, to be completely accurate, just down the road from the surf cafe, because I passed them in the car!) and in the face of the cafe's baking, I dropped all my good intentions of having a bowl of soup and some oatcakes and fell headfirst into a bucket of hot chocolate and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever been presented with - so big that I couldn't actually finish it, which has never happened before

Mr Minx had taken the day off to varnish all the new wooden window sills and he didn't want the dog to scratch the living room one - it's her favourite place to sit. So he measured up before I left and I called in at the local agricultural store and got her a bed to fit. She definitely approves, she's barely got out of it since:

I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on running a business through eBay, as I am thinking of trying some online selling myself.2018 totals:

Oh, doesn't Jura look so comfy in her sunny bed. Lucky girl.
I also like that satellite photo of your area. Very freaky.
Glad you had a good day.0
