Is AA's Parts and Garage cover really it's all it's cracked up to be, or is there a hidden snag?

It seems too good to be true, particularly if (like me) you have an older car.

    My friend has it and swears by it, something about a gear linkage cable going on his Fiat Punto and the parts and labour for repairing it being mostly covered (Don't know exact details).

    I personally find a Haynes manual and box of tools to be more cost effective!
