MBNA PPI claim

My PPI claim has been rejected it becuase I ticked the box for insurance.
This is what it states - You can safeguard your payments against the effects of life's unpredictable events with our Payment Protection cover, then gives details of premiums, nowhere does it state that payments are only covered for a certain number of months

I only found out some months after my redundancy when payment cover was stopped.

They then state that mine was a non-advised sale and have refused refund.

Should I take this to FOS

As you made a claim on this PPI it will be hard to get them to refund this as you clearly had a need for this, you could let them know that you were not aware that the cover only lasted 12 months and feel the cost of PPI was more than the actual PPI amount.
