Buddy List - Why is it that....

... I cannot add a certain user? I have tried to add this user via just typing the name, and the system tells me there isn't such a member. So I clicked on this username on a post and selected "add to buddy list" - again I'm told this username is not listed.

Ideas, anyone?

Do they have under 100 posts ? im sure I read sommat about if they had under a certain amount of posts they would not show up in a search

if they have any funny characters in their usernames, sometimes the systems dont like them

No this one has over 1000 posts and no funny characters, just a straightforward name.:(

they probably have blocked you so that means that you cant add them

I've been here almost 2 years and only started using the buddy list about three months ago. It doesn't have to be "friends" that you add in there - anyone you find interesting enough and want to know whey they are logged in. It also makes it easier to send PMs to those you chat to regularly.
