It says in the guidance that Parking on the pavement is 'banned'.
Does this mean it is illegal and by doing it you commit a criminal offence or what?

You MUST NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement in London, and should not do so elsewhere unless signs permit it. Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs.

dont think it makes any difference tbh whether legal or not. where i live there is someone who always parks fully on the path as they chose to buy a house that has no parking, is near trafficlights so has double yellows, and when we reported it to a traffic warden we were told that it was in the hands of the police and when i spoke to them we were told that they wernt going to do anything about it!!0
