Morning! (depending when you are reading this)
I recently sold a flat which had a factor agent to sort out gardening etc.
I had a lot of issues with them, not least them invalidating the NHBC cover but that's beside the point apart from highlighting they are a bunch of clowns.
Now, as the property is sold, they have issued a final bill which includes the full management fee for the period, plus a £60 charge for the end of contract admin.
I am sure this charge was never previously advertised or listed and as such i think it might not be valid.
I wrote to them and explained so, askign where they had previously advised of sunch a charge. they have written back to say they told my solicitor about it. I am sure that is not the same thing at all as the solitcitor simply had to hold some money over to cover the final costs, it is not for them to agree to terms outwith the contract.
Any thoughts? I'd really love to stick it to them as they really have been rip off merchants.
