Used car rights help

I bought a 2005 Ford Focus from a Ford dealership about 3 months ago.

In these three months, 3 separate issues have arisen with the car.

What rights do i have regarding this? I was issued with a 3 month warranty which is now coming to an end. I know what will happen, in a few months time something else will arise.

I am trying to get the dealership to extend the warranty (for free), but am i chasing a pipedream? Am i just facing up to the risks of buying a used car? Or should the dealership step up and recognise that they sold me a car that has issues and extend the warranty?

Thanks

Laurence

It's 7 years old, it will have issues. Hopefully you will have worked trough most of them now and it will give you many more years service.
  • first the instrument cluster went and needed replacing

then the tailgate latch needed replacing as it was causing the boot to open on its own accord

now the car seems to be misfiring

Ford = Fix Or Repair Daily. I really don't understand where Focuses get their reliability reputation from; everyone I know with them has problems all the time!

Warranty direct, the best after market warranty there us, I have used them for years. Pay a premium and forget about your car issues, problem gone.

Why? You had a problem with them? I haven't although I have only made a claim for the items covered as per the policy. People get upset when they try to claim for dead batteries or don't follow servicing procedures, did this happen to you?
I have had claims for replacement head gasket and air suspension failure, all paid for.
