Lunch near Euston

I'm travelling from Crewe into Surrey on Saturday and will be breaking my journey in London but not for too long. Any recommendations for somewhere to get a not too pricey light lunch not too far from Euston? Somewhere where lone female isn't going to feel awkward preferably! Some London pubs are very busy and/or blokey and I never feel comfy in them

Proper lunch or just a bite to eat? Euston has loads of places to eat in the station - you can cut 20% off the cost by getting one of these cards https://www.bitecard.co.uk/0

There are a load of cafes right outside Euston, or if you have enough time you can walk to St Pancras which has a load of different restaurants, from Carluccios to very lovely sandwich shops, and even a small market cafe with organic food. I often go there to work on my laptop over lunch and there are no problems being a young girl on my own! If you do eat outside in Euston do be aware of where your bags are, as stations in London are prime areas for pick pockets.0

Why has no-one mentioned Drummond Street?
Within five minutes walk (to the right of the station as you exit) there is a street full of South Indian vegetarian eating places. Ravi Shankar, the most famous of them, would be rather expensive for the occasion but there are plenty of variations on the theme.0 -

Thanks all. I know there's a few eateries in the station but I fancied getting out for a leg stretcher. I've been Euston loads but usually get off the mainline and go straight onto tube, just can't picture what's around outside the station at all. At least I know there's lots of choice, was worried there'd be just coffee chains and golden arches lol0

You say you fancy a leg stretcher, so how about lunch outside in Russell Square?0
