Barclaycard Pre-Approved?

Evening all!
My partner applied for a Barclaycard initial last week and they gave him the "we will be in touch" message.
So fast forward to today and he's received an application for the Barclaycard Platinum.
Does this mean he's been pre approved the platinum card or is it just a random mailing list.
He already has 3 CC (2 opened recent (Paid in full) 2 Shop Direct Accounts (Paid in Full) and a Bank Account (Always in credit).

I had the same mailing, its just junkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

It's junk mail. I received a copy of the same letter a few days ago and I haven't applied for a Barclaycard.
We must be on the same mailing list.:)0
